What Our Physical Therapy Department Includes
- Vibration Exercises and Rehabilitation – This is one of the easiest types of exercises for you and only requires 15 minutes of your time. NASA originally developed vibration machines to combat muscle atrophy is space. These machines work to cause your muscles to tense and relax dozens of times per second. In just a few minutes, your muscles will be stretched and toned. This can help patients recover quicker from injury and surgeries and also help athletes have an extra boost for their training routines.
- Trigger-Point Therapy – Vibration exercises are used in conjunction with stretching, massage, electrostimulation of the musculoskeletal system and more to release nodules of tension in the body and heal muscles. Releasing knots of pressure and keeping muscles stretched and working will reduce trigger points and their symptoms.
- Chiropractic Care – A gentle, non-invasive approach to correct the body’s muscular, nervous and skeletal systems. We use focused pressure to realign the spine and joints to proper position. This helps your body work properly and be free of built-up tension. Movement and stretching of the muscles are critical in chiropractic care to helping your body rehabilitate itself.
- Spinal Decompression Therapy – This is our spinal treatment devoted to eliminating and easing herniated or bulging discs, pinched nerves, sciatica pain, spinal stenosis, post-surgical pain and reducing the effects of degenerative disc disease through movement.
- Class IV Laser Therapy – This is a laser therapy that works in conjunction with physical therapy exercises to help penetrate the body on a cellular level and speed healing to the body.
- Neuropathy Treatment – For patients with numbness, tingling and other neuropathic symptoms, we have many therapies such as oxygen with exercise that seeks to send extra oxygen to the brain as you do physical therapy. This will help the brain and nerves heal areas of the body quicker. We also have therapies designed to work the muscles and activate nerves that have been damaged.
- High-Tech Rehabilitation – For those recovering from surgery, injury or those dealing with chronic conditions and diseases, we have our special SpineForce, AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill and ATM2 (Active Therapeutic Movement) machines to help rehabilitate your body in a way that’s low-impact and gentle. These machines allow you to recover with less pain while improving your mobility and strength.
- Active Release Technique – Used especially for patients with scar tissue, we employ the use of gentle tissue-focused massage to target muscles, nerves, tendons and ligaments that have scar tissue buildup that can lead to pain and decreased flexibility.
